Setting Up a VPS for VPN: WireGuard & OpenVPN Guide
1. Installing and Configuring WireGuard on VPS
Step 1: Install WireGuard
Run the following command on your VPS:
sudo apt update && sudo apt install wireguard -y
Step 2: Generate Keys
wg genkey | tee privatekey | wg pubkey > publickey
Save the generated private and public keys for configuration.
Step 3: Configure WireGuard
Edit the WireGuard configuration file:
sudo nano /etc/wireguard/wg0.conf
Paste the following, replacing <PRIVATE_KEY>
and <PEER_PUBLIC_KEY>
